i like making films bathed in saturated colors that explore Magical innocence, FRUSTRATED desire & FEMININITY with hints of surrealism, Eroticism & paprika...

“Sálvame, salvador”

Screened at La MaMa Gallery in August 2022

Do we dream to live or live to dream? Dreams are the celestial phenomena that decorate the walls of one’s inner mind. However, what happens when we can’t return to a dream that was once ours? Claudio dreamt of Salvador Dalí seventeen days ago, and he has not been the same since… Besides having the best sex of his life, now he can only experience life with a sentiment of madness. Surrealism is now his favorite aphrodisiac, but how much can his frustrated desire last? To perpetually experience the beautiful monstrosity of being maddened by love & lust... Is it truly possible to find sanity within insanity?

“CUERDA ROTA”

There’s this human tendency to run away from that which brings us utter joy… or even distance ourselves from that someone who comes very close to our hearts. You would think we would hold on to this something or someone as tightly as we can, yet, for some reason, it’s easier to forget… to put aside… to stop looking at what’s in front of you and bathe in the misery of it all. This is a tragic tale of the resentment, neglect, and gradually fading spark of a relationship. A "guitar" longing for its musician’s touch... A heart trapped behind six solemn steel strings - six strings that were once heartstrings filled with hope, and now echo the chords of destitute heartbreak.

“UNA SOLA VERDAD BAJO EL SOL…”

Inspired by 16th century Spanish writer Garcilaso de la Vega and his Sonnet XXIII, this short film whispers a Baroque tale of time, beauty, and arduous sorrow. All the leaves belong to the wind, and so do the two blooming roses that adorn a woman's cheeks in the spring of her youth. Life, and thus beauty, are but fleeting, and yet, it is this sole truth which earth's forceful breath cannot move or alter.

“People, Places & Things”

Throughline project for Atlantic Acting School

Based on Duncan Macmillan's play People, Place & Things, this short film à la quarantine reveals the sonoric thoughts and chromatic chaos that inhabit the mind of an addict. It’s a depiction of the shared suffering that comes with addiction and recovery, and what it means to reconnect with the core of one’s being. What happens when you trade marbles for pills, and start blurring the image of that starry-eyed child who once swam in the magic of innocence?
